As Chief Legal Officer, Steve leads overall legal and regulatory strategy and is the Chief Counsel to the Diem Association and Diem Networks US Boards and executives. Steve brings a wealth of legal experience at the highest levels of government and private practice.

Christian is the Chief Economist, co-creator of Diem, and a professor at MIT (on leave). He is focused on the economic, market design, growth incentives, and business model aspects of the project. He brings experience in cryptoeconomics, strategy, and entrepreneurship to the leadership team.

Sterling is the Chief Compliance Officer of Diem Networks US and leads all aspects of financial crime compliance. Sterling brings extensive experience in numerous compliance disciplines, particularly related to financial crime compliance, and has had leadership roles across banking, financial services, consulting and standard-setting bodies.

James serves as Managing Director overseeing the day-to-day operations of Diem Networks (CH) and providing overall executive leadership. James brings vast experience as a financial services leader.

Kurt serves as Head of Internal Business Operations and HR and is responsible for human resources, as well as internal business and operational coordination and alignment.Kurt has years of experience in building and managing global efforts across payments, mobile technology, and fintech projects.

Ian is the Chief Financial and Risk Officer responsible for all risk and finance-related activities. Ian brings three decades of senior leadership experience in financial services across a variety of executive roles in risk, operations, and strategy.

Dahlia serves as the overall technology lead for the project and drives the technical development roadmap, open source policy and product development. She also serves as the lead maintainer in consultation with the Technical Steering Committee (TSC).
